Busy, Busy Preps!

We have certainly been very busy in Prep C this term, as you will see when you look at our walls in the classroom, which are a celebration of our work over this term.

The children's craft work has been designed to teach a skill especially following instruction.  Activities also reflect other learning.  Smarty Pants here was a book we were reading, and the use of squares reflects our work on shapes in Maths.

Our Mice also reflects our work on shapes as we follow directions to create the picture.

You will also note our growth chart, which we will keep, and update, throughout the year.

We used paint in the creation of our Alice Apples which echo our 'sound work' in the Reading Block.

More work on shapes as we look for, and find shapes everywhere in our environment.

When learning new letters we make them in many ways such as with play dough and magic sand.  Here we have used a dotted painting method to make the letter 'm'.

Our Tubby Tortoise focused on scissor skills and echoed the letter 'T' for the week.

Our Pretty Peacock focused on scissor skills and echoed the letter 'P' for the week, as did our Purple Penguins.

Following instruction for our 't' echoed the sound 'T' for the week.
Our Monty Monkey focused on scissor skills and echoed the letter 'M' for the week.

Collecting data about our families and displaying it in graph form echoing our Maths work.

Our Fancy Frogs focused on scissor skills and echoed the letter 'F' for the week.

Following instruction and scissor skills for our 'p' echoed the sound 'p' for the week.

Following instruction for our Fairy Flowers echoed the sound 'F' for the week.
