We have had the most outstanding couple of days with Asanti, the dance and drumming group from Nigeria.
The children enjoyed a workshop on Monday with Asanti, where we learnt some very cool moves.
This, however did not prepare us for Tuesday. We could not believe how amazing the performers of Asanti are.
We could not believe the speed of their dancing.
We could feel their drum beats all the way through our bodies.
We were amazed by their acrobatics.
Read on to see what each of us thought about the day.
Mia - Today it was a fantastic day because Asanti came to school to do some dancing. My favorite bit was the second dancer when he went on his head. The other man was brave. They were fearless! They were graceful, awesome, fantastic and marvelous.
Jaxon - Today we had African people at our school. It was amazing! They did so many good tricks, and it was loud, and one man almost touched the roof.
Tane - I saw some African people and they were teaching us. They had lots of tricks, and they taught us to dance.
Gracie - Today we had Asanti. I was surprised! I really liked the way they picked up two girls, especially Shakinya. I really liked the way they did the back flips.
Jasmine - Today my class saw Asanti. They were amazing because they danced and did back flips.
Max - Today was exciting because Asanti came. They nearly squashed Ryan and six more people. I liked the drummers. I was tired after the show when I went into the class.
Archer - Today it was the most exciting day because the African people came. They are one of the best acrobatic dancers in the world, the best champions. He did the best back flips and the best drumming. It was the best day ever! It was fun being there with my friends.
Aniston - Today my class came to the hall to see Asanti dancing. I was at the front and I though they would fall on me. I got a fright, so I just moved back from the people. They were magnificent, and I liked everything. They were crazy. It made me clap! Ryan had to get up and touch his toes. They jumped over Ryan. One, two over he goes! He was brilliant!
Hayden - It was the best day today because we saw Asanti. I loved it when they did front flips. They were fearless, and I liked it all because it was awesome!
Ryan - It was a really good day. I saw Asanti. They chose me. I had to put my hands on my feet and he jumped over me and a couple more people. It was terrific. They were so much fun!
Kaitlyn - I went to the hall and I was amazed! I loved it when pulled two girls up. I loved Asanti. They are terrific jumpers. They jumped over Ryan.
Ethan - We had the best day ever because Asanti came to our school. I saw two girls get picked up. It was amazing!
Shayla - Today we saw Asanti in the hall. I was so happy. I had fun. My favorite was the front flips. I had such fun!
Maddie - Asanti came to school. My favorite bit was with Ryan.
Kayden - It was the most awesome day ever, and I liked it! One dancer did a double front flip, and it was awesome! It was brilliant and it was such fun!
Cooper - Today at school Asanti came to our school. My favorite bit was the main African dancer because he did amazing tricks! You won't miss out either because it is going on the Blog. So are you happy now?
